Caitlin Legacki

Caitlin Legacki is a seasoned public affairs strategist with a proven track record of navigating the complex intersection of policy, politics, and public opinion. With a career spanning nearly two decades in the public and private sectors, Caitlin has established herself as a trusted voice on strategic communications and advocacy.

Most recently, Caitlin served as Senior Advisor for Strategic Communications to US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. In that role, Caitlin was responsible for managing all of Raimondo’s external communications activities and developing a cohesive narrative that tied together the Secretary’s proactive agenda with the broad portfolio of work that lives within the Department of Commerce.

At the Department of Commerce, Caitlin played a pivotal role in some of the Biden-Harris Administration’s most important legislative efforts, including the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the CHIPS Act, as well as helping the Department communicate effectively around issues like export controls, international trade, AI, TikTok, America’s competition with China and industrial policy. Caitlin was responsible for elevating Raimondo’s profile as one of the Administration’s most effective cabinet members and helping Raimondo navigate some of the thorniest and most important issues in the first two years of her tenure.

Prior to Commerce, Caitlin was a Vice President of Corporate Communications at JPMorgan Chase & Co., leading the firm’s communications around select corporate responsibility initiatives. Before that, Caitlin worked for four years at a leading public affairs firm, where she was the client lead for numerous Fortune 100 clients in banking, healthcare, telecom, tech and other industries.

Caitlin is a campaigner at heart and brings a campaigner’s mentality to everything she does. She worked on some of the country’s most high-profile and hard-fought campaigns, including the campaigns of Senators Kay Hagan, Claire McCaskill and Jeanne Shaheen.

In her free time, you can find Caitlin taking in shows at the 9:30 Club, traveling to the most remote places on earth and watching UNC basketball (go Heels).
